About The Position
The Working Leaderman (Electrical Maintenance) is responsible for leading his/her craft in the successful implementation of production activities as it relates to associated electrical maintenance and/or repair functions in addition to performing craft specific operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of (8) years of marine electrical and/or five (5) years of marine electrical supervisory experience with resource planning/scheduling.
- Basic knowledge of AC/DC theory, electric motors/controls, power generation, control, and distribution.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with other supervisors.
- Strong focus on quality, production, safety and environmental aspects of work being performed.
Responsibilities
- Must be familiar with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction.
- Must be able to perform electrical troubleshooting and have the ability to read and interpret codes, specifications, and blueprints.
- Able to coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
- Must be familiar with Facility electrical maintenance needs for electrical, HVAC, welding machines, pumps, motors.
- Installs and repairs wiring, fixtures, and equipment for all electrical services aboard vessels and shipyard facilities.
