Working Janitorial Supervisor
About The Position
This role involves supervising and supporting the daily activities of the janitorial team. The supervisor will also perform cleaning duties alongside the team, ensuring all assigned areas meet company quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include training and mentoring employees on proper cleaning procedures and equipment use, operating and maintaining commercial cleaning equipment, monitoring inventory, and reporting supply needs. Effective communication with management regarding daily operations is essential. The role requires the ability to manage Union staff or have prior experience. The supervisor will also have their own cleaning responsibility, covering one or two floors.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a drug screen.
- 90-day probationary period.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience operating commercial cleaning machines/equipment is required.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be reliable and detail-oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Previous supervisory experience in janitorial or custodial services preferred.
