About The Position

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in vocational training, workforce development, curriculum design, apprenticeship administration, competency assessment, credentialing workflows, and structured training documentation. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured workforce training review, vocational curriculum workflows, competency assessment materials, apprenticeship documentation, skills credentialing, technical training programs, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their training and workforce development expertise to review realistic learning and credentialing scenarios, evaluate documentation requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based vocational training workflow tasks.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in vocational training, workforce development, apprenticeship administration, curriculum design, instructional design, technical training, corporate L&D, credentialing, or related education and training roles.
  • Experience in one or more areas such as skilled trades training, technical program design, apprenticeship program administration, competency-based assessment, credentialing, workforce policy, WIOA, Perkins, or manufacturing-focused training.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Google Classroom, Google Forms, SharePoint, Box, LMS tools, assessment platforms, credentialing systems, or similar training systems.
  • Comfort reading and preparing training artifacts such as curricula, competency rubrics, lesson plans, apprentice records, credentialing paperwork, assessment records, and program documentation.
  • Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate training and workforce development workflows into clear, structured task documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a community college system, union apprenticeship program, workforce board, corporate training organization, manufacturing training program, or technical education provider.
  • Familiarity with DOL/state-registered apprenticeships, WIOA, Perkins, NOCTI, NCCER, competency frameworks, skills assessments, or credentialing workflows.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing curricula, lesson plans, competency rubrics, apprentice records, credentialing documents, training reports, or program materials.
  • Training, instructional design, apprenticeship, workforce development, L&D, or credentialing certifications are helpful.
  • Strong attention to detail in documentation-heavy, standards-based, and learner-focused training environments.

Responsibilities

  • Review vocational training scenarios involving curricula, lesson plans, instructional materials, technical training modules, and workforce learning documentation.
  • Evaluate training materials against stated learning objectives, program requirements, competency expectations, and source materials.
  • Support structured review of skilled trades, technical programs, manufacturing training, corporate L&D, and workforce development content.
  • Identify missing elements, sequencing issues, assessment gaps, and expected curriculum review outcomes.
  • Review competency rubrics, skills assessments, credentialing paperwork, apprentice records, and performance documentation.
  • Evaluate assessment materials against defined skill standards, credential requirements, completion criteria, and documentation rules.
  • Support structured review of NOCTI, NCCER, apprenticeship, technical credentialing, and competency-based assessment workflows.
  • Prepare clear written explanations for training and credentialing decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria.
  • Review workforce training scenarios involving apprenticeship administration, participant records, program funding documentation, employer coordination, and reporting workflows.
  • Evaluate program materials connected to DOL/state-registered apprenticeships, WIOA, Perkins, union training programs, community college systems, and corporate training environments.
  • Support structured review of materials connected to Google Classroom, Google Forms, SharePoint, Box, or similar training and documentation systems.
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work.
