About The Position

HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions) is applying its AI-first approach to building the systems and experiences that support its own teams, and this role sits at the center of that effort. As Workforce Experience Specialist, you'll own the day-to-day employee experience at Hopper's Montreal headquarters while helping scale People Operations globally through better systems, data, and automation. It's a chance to build workforce infrastructure for a global AI-powered company from the ground up, not maintain a legacy HR function.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in Québécois French and professional fluency in English, since you'll support employees and vendors in both languages daily as the primary People Operations presence in Montreal
  • 3-5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, Employee Experience, or Workplace Operations, with a track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • An analytical mindset, using data (attrition trends, engagement feedback, process metrics) to shape decisions rather than just report on them
  • Genuine curiosity about AI, with interest in applying tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or workflow automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n) to simplify People Ops work
  • Strong relationship-building skills across departments, comfortable coordinating with IT, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Finance on shared employee-lifecycle moments
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, actively looking for ways to remove administrative friction rather than waiting to be asked

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Rippling, Workday, BambooHR) or supporting hybrid/globally distributed teams

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding in partnership with IT, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and hiring managers
  • Manage employee recognition programs, including Carrot Cash and other incentive initiatives
  • Plan engagement activities, social events, and workplace experiences that build connection across the Montreal office
  • Run day-to-day workplace operations, including facilities, vendor relationships, mail, and office logistics
  • Coordinate WeWork memberships and workplace access
  • Produce recurring People Operations reporting on attrition, onboarding/offboarding metrics, exit insights, and compensation cycle support
  • Build dashboards that turn employee feedback and operational data into actionable trends
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate People Operations work using AI and other tools
  • Partner across People Operations, IT, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Business Systems, and Finance to keep employee transitions seamless
  • Serve as the primary People Operations point of contact for Montreal-based employees and local vendors

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and upsides of pre-IPO equity packages
  • Hopper covers 100% of the premiums for group insurance plan
  • Life, short term and long term disability coverage
  • HSA that covers eligible medical and dental expenses
  • Access to Dialogue’s telemedicine services, anytime, anywhere for all employees and dependents
  • RRSP plan with automatic pre-tax withdrawals per pay
  • Very generous parental leave, much above industry standards
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Carrot Cash travel stipend
  • Access to co-working space on demand through FlexDesk
  • Work-from-home stipend
  • Entrepreneurial culture where pushing limits and taking risks is everyday business
  • Open communication with management and company leadership
  • Small, dynamic teams = massive impact
