The Workforce Consultant is responsible for assessing applicants to determine eligibility for enrollment in job training or referral to employers. This role involves enrolling clients, assisting them in setting employment goals, and developing individual training plans. The consultant will refer clients to potential job openings, recruit eligible individuals for training programs and employers, and counsel clients to determine employment, training, educational, and related services. Additionally, the role includes surveying and researching area jobs, trainings, and educational services, maintaining listings of current employment openings, and assisting employers in developing job openings appropriate for clients. The consultant will also monitor trainees in training and apprenticeship employment programs, provide referral services to clients regarding community services, and may be assigned to work with youth programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure are essential. Maintaining confidentiality of client records and adhering to CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices are also key responsibilities.
