About The Position

The Workflow Coordinator keeps product moving through a production area - the climbers, panels, posts, and parts that become a playground or splashpad. The role owns the area's process boards, stages jobs in the right order, and paces the work so the area hits its daily targets. When a part goes missing or a machine backs up, the coordinator spots it first and calls for help.

Requirements

2+ years in a manufacturing production, materials, or shop-floor coordination role.
Working knowledge of production scheduling and tracking work-in-process through a cell.
Comfortable using the production information system and spreadsheets to track jobs, parts, and rates.
Able to read prints, job sheets, and standard-work documents.
Strong written and verbal communication for coordinating across the floor, support teams, and leadership.
Basic math for capacity, rate, and pacing calculations.
Able to flex hours when the schedule demands it.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Associate's degree in manufacturing operations, supply chain, or business.
Prior experience as an operator in the cell you coordinate.
Understanding of lean principles - pull, takt, one-piece flow, and level loading.
Experience building simple production dashboards or daily-management boards.
A supply-chain or production-and-inventory-management certification.
Forklift or powered-industrial-truck certification.

Responsibilities

Own the cell's process boards: keep work-order sequencing, staging, and visual signals current every shift.
Review past-due, hot, and high-priority jobs; stage one-piece-flow work so the cell stays paced to its target rate.
Spot bottlenecks - machine, material, staffing, or tooling - and work countermeasures with the team lead, maintenance, materials, and planning.
Locate missing parts, kits, and tooling; escalate within the posted time limit if it is not resolved at the cell.
Act as the first line of response on product and people concerns; route safety, quality, and personnel issues to the team lead or supervisor.
Step onto the line as needed so leads, trainers, and operators can attend training, audits, or improvement work.
Coordinate hot jobs and shifting priorities with upstream and downstream cells when an issue affects customer commitments.
Give real-time updates on schedule changes, equipment downtime, and material shortages to the partners who need to know.
