About The Position

The position of Worker’s Compensation Resource is part of the remote Service Center team and provides professional resource support to the locations and facilities to effectively assist in managing claims and third party insurance adjusters. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an energetic and organized professional with a passion for workplace safety and employee injury claims risk management to join the resource team in providing risk related services and support to both on-site communities and locations with caregivers in the field.

Requirements

  • 5 plus years worker’s compensation claims adjuster experience.
  • Must be highly organized, disciplined, detail focused, and able to work independently with multiple clients and individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide innovative problem solving and implementation of positive proactive process improvement.
  • Effective communications with all levels of employees including staff and management, as well as outside TPAs and governmental agencies.
  • Able to quickly and articulately prepare clear and appropriate correspondence and reports.
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and ability to quickly learn programs.
  • Experience with both self-insured and state insurance plans.
  • A great sense of humor and a strong desire to help other people perform and develop

Nice To Haves

  • Texas Non-subscriber experience, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience in skilled nursing and/or other healthcare environments.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience employed with a claims administrator, with expertise in day to day claims management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee worker’s compensation programs in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop, implement and train on worker’s compensation claims and risk management programs for current facilities, new acquisitions, and New Employee Orientation programs.
  • Manage third party claims administrators and adjusters.
  • Maintain, update and continuously improve workers compensation risk management policies, processes, and systems.
  • Timely communicate information to the field by proactively managing worker’s compensation claims and claims risk mitigation.
  • Track and trend claims and claims administration cost for reporting and trending data; develop risk management plans and programs based on trending data.
  • Partner with community and agency leaders, claims administrators, and adjusters to achieve best claim outcomes.
  • Participate in quarterly claim reviews with brokers, TPAs, and internal partners and resources.
  • Advise and educate facility management and injured employees regarding transitional duty.
  • Collaborate with Safety Resources to further preventative risk management activities and initiatives designed to maximize loss prevention.
  • Provide facility support and guidance for OSHA log completion, maintenance, and electronic reporting requirements.
  • Be proactive and innovative in managing risk related to workplace injuries and prevention.
  • Periodic travel is required.
