Requirements

  • J.D. and Massachusetts bar admission (in good standing)
  • 0-3 years' experience in workers' compensation
  • Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle hearings independently
  • Exceptional time-management abilities
  • Proven capacity to adjust seamlessly to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Professional judgment

Responsibilities

  • Actively represent clients and argue cases before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents.
  • Review calendar and prepare for appearance before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents.
  • Balance legal precision with client advocacy.
  • Draft legal recommendations.
  • Review medical records.
  • Analyze employment documentation to build a sound case strategy.
  • Update clients on case developments.
  • Offer strategic advice to clients.
  • Ensure clients remain informed and confident in representation.
  • Consult with colleagues on complex claims.
  • Discuss legal updates and procedural best practices.
  • Manage caseload independently.
  • Meet filing deadlines.
  • Participate in negotiations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethical and efficient defense.
