Requirements

  • J.D. and Massachusetts bar admission (in good standing)
  • 0-3 years' experience in workers' compensation
  • Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle hearings independently
  • Exceptional time-management abilities and a proven capacity to adjust seamlessly to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Professional judgment and a commitment to high-quality client service

Responsibilities

  • Actively represent clients and argue cases before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents.
  • Reviewing your calendar and preparing for appearance before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents while balancing legal precision with client advocacy.
  • Drafting legal recommendations, reviewing medical records, and analyzing employment documentation to build a sound case strategy.
  • Regularly update clients on case developments, offer strategic advice, and ensure they remain informed and confident in your representation.
  • Consulting with colleagues on a complex claim or discussing legal updates and procedural best practices.
  • Manage your caseload independently, meet filing deadlines, and participate in negotiations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethical and efficient defense.
