About The Position

The Workers Compensation Analyst oversees the administration and financial analysis of Bass Pro’s Workers Compensation benefit to Outfitters. The role develops claims policies and procedures, analyzes claims, recommends loss-prevention and financial-mitigation measures, assesses and directs the Third-Party Administrator, and coordinates with Bass Pro site personnel and Corporate Safety to deliver benefits efficiently and promptly. Additional responsibilities include recovery management, data integrity, and assistance with discovery responses. The position also administers workers’ compensation claims within an assigned territory, manages monopolistic-state policy administration and filings, and develops and communicates workers’ compensation processes, including management of the Risk Management SharePoint site.

The role operates within general company policies, procedures, and objectives while analyzing problems, assessing needs, adapting broad guidelines, and exercising independent judgment. It makes recommendations that may affect policies, procedures, and practices. Travel is not required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance, Risk Management, or equivalent.
• Two to five years of experience in workers’ compensation claims administration.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation benefit laws, preferably across multiple state jurisdictions.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify patterns and trends.
• Ability to be flexible in assigned tasks and think strategically.

Nice To Haves

• Risk Management certificate(s) or license(s).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate workers’ compensation claims administration within an assigned territory.
• Communicate with adjusters, defense counsel, physicians, nurses, and employees to provide oversight, strategy, direction, and authority regarding claims management.
• Produce and analyze workers’ compensation claims data reports to identify and coordinate loss-prevention strategies with Corporate Safety and Bass Pro locations.
• Manage workers’ compensation policy administration, filings, and premiums in monopolistic states.
• Develop, implement, and communicate workers’ compensation processes, including managing the Risk Management SharePoint site.
• Manage recovery and data integrity, and assist with discovery responses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
