About The Position

EVOCS is a hyper-fast-growing company focused on empowering businesses with advisory expertise and ideal technologies. Founded by passionate experts, EVOCS has become a trusted partner across various industries. We are seeking an experienced Workday Program Manager to lead a multi-track Workday implementation. This is a hands-on role requiring a dedicated business-side leader to own the plan, ensure workstream sequencing, and translate formal program management practices into actionable steps for an agile team. The role involves managing the overall program, building roadmaps, work plans, and project plans, and ensuring consultants, internal teams, and business stakeholders are aligned. The ideal candidate will be pragmatic, adaptable, and focused on progress, with strong vendor management skills and the ability to escalate risks and organizational impasses effectively. This position is open to long-term contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement, and is remote with a preference for the Central Time zone.

Requirements

  • Proven experience program-managing a Workday implementation (HCM required; Payroll, Financials, or other modules a plus), ideally across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Comfort building and maintaining roadmaps, work breakdown structures, and cross-track dependency maps from scratch.
  • Strong vendor and SI management experience, including remobilizing paused engagements.
  • Ability to operate at the maturity level of the organization — pragmatic, adaptable, and focused on progress over process for its own sake.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills; comfortable escalating organizational risk without personally trying to resolve it.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience navigating multi-country or multi-entity rollouts, including awareness of international labor requirements, is a plus.
  • PMP, Workday certification, or equivalent program management credential preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the overall Workday program: build and manage the roadmap, work plan, individual project plans, sequencing, and resourcing across all active tracks and future initiatives.
  • Build and manage the work breakdown structure and cross-track dependencies, keeping consultants, internal teams, and business stakeholders moving in sync.
  • Act as the practical, get-it-done program lead — pushing back on the business where needed, while scaling process to match the organization's current maturity level in areas such as job architecture, decentralized business units, and internal Workday skill gaps.
  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and organizational impasses (e.g., business architecture gaps) rather than attempt to resolve them personally.
  • Drive a phased rollout plan, sequencing domestic go-lives ahead of international expansion and accounting for local labor and works council requirements as they arise.
  • Coordinate with the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) to use existing templates and governance rather than build new process from scratch.
  • Manage remobilization of the systems integrator (SI) once the plan is approved and coordinate any other vendor or resourcing decisions.
  • Report progress, timeline, and risk to program sponsorship and business ownership on a regular cadence.

Benefits

  • competitive, commensurate with experience; contract rate or salary plus bonus and benefits depending on engagement type.
