About The Position

MANTECH International Corporation seeks a Workday Product Owner & Solution Architect to serve as the single point of accountability for the enterprise Workday platform. This hybrid position is based in Herndon, Virginia. In a player-coach role, the position defines the product vision, roadmap, priorities, and long-term strategy with HR, Finance, Payroll, Procurement, and Enterprise IT, while retaining hands-on configuration, development, and architectural responsibility. The role oversees Workday architecture and integrations across HCM, Payroll, Financials, Procurement, Security, Reporting, and Integrations. It also manages platform governance, enhancement priorities, tenant administration, migrations, and release evaluation and testing. The position provides strategic leadership and mentorship while managing relationships with Workday and implementation partners. The projected compensation range is $150,900.00–$268,500.00. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, and 10 or more years of enterprise applications experience.
At least 7 years of progressive experience directly configuring, architecting, or managing the Workday platform.
At least 3 years of experience in a Workday Product Owner, Lead Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or Platform Owner role.
Hands-on experience delivering at least one enterprise Workday implementation or major platform transformation program.
Hands-on experience configuring Workday Security, Business Process Framework, Custom Reporting, Calculated Fields, and EIBs.
At least 3 years of experience architecting or managing integrations between Workday and enterprise ERP or identity systems, such as Deltek Costpoint, Microsoft Azure AD/Entra ID, or ServiceNow.
U.S. citizenship.
Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
Ability to operate a computer and office productivity machinery, including a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information with coworkers, management, and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Workday Pro Certification in relevant functional or technical domains, such as HCM, Financials, Security, Integrations, or Reporting.
Hands-on configuration experience across both Workday HCM and Workday Financials modules.
Experience supporting Workday in a government contracting, defense, or highly regulated corporate environment.
Experience with Workday Extend, Prism Analytics, or AI-driven platform capabilities.
Experience working within Agile product delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Develop and maintain a multi-year Workday roadmap aligned with enterprise objectives, compliance, and modernization goals.
Manage the enhancement backlog, platform governance, and overall Workday ecosystem strategy.
Define and oversee Workday architecture across HCM, Payroll, Financials, Procurement, Security, Reporting, and Integrations.
Lead solution design reviews and govern integration architecture using APIs, EIBs, Core Connectors, and middleware for connections to Deltek Costpoint, ServiceNow, Okta, and data platforms.
Configure and maintain business processes, security frameworks, calculated fields, dashboards, custom reports, and workflows.
Manage tenant administration and environment migrations.
Lead biannual release evaluation and testing.
Drive strategic execution, mentor team members on Workday best practices, and manage relationships with Workday and implementation partners.
