Workday Platform Engineer
About The Position
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Workday Technical Developer with broad expertise in Workday configuration, reporting, calculated fields, business process design, and Workday Extend application development. The role includes technical configuration, custom report design, integration support, and lightweight application extension work to help HR, finance, and IT stakeholders get more value from the Workday platform. The successful candidate will work with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into maintainable Workday configurations and well-engineered solutions. The position also involves contributing to code and design reviews and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should bring strong engineering discipline, clear communication, and a record of delivering production-ready work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Five or more years of Workday technical experience.
- Deep expertise in Workday Report Writer, including advanced and composite reports.
- Strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance.
- Hands-on experience configuring business processes and condition rules.
- Strong understanding of the Workday security framework.
- Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend.
- Familiarity with Workday tenant management and the release process.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Workday Pro certifications.
- Experience with Workday Extend application development.
- Familiarity with PRISM data ingestion and modeling.
- Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
- Experience supporting Workday Payroll or Workday Financials.
Responsibilities
- Configure the Workday platform, including business processes and condition rules.
- Design custom reports, including advanced and composite reports.
