As a Workday Integrations Architect, you’ll work to: Own the end-to-end integration pipeline — from design and configuration to deployment and production support — ensuring Workday connects seamlessly with internal and external platforms via Studio, Orchestrations, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, and REST/SOAP APIs Ensure data integrity across all inbound and outbound integrations by building rigorous mapping, transformation, and validation processes that keep Carta's people data accurate and compliant at scale Govern the integration lifecycle — managing code migrations, production hyper care, and Workday release cycles including impact analysis, regression testing, and adoption of new features Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday integrations, advising HR, IT, and business stakeholders on design patterns and best practices that drive scalable, maintainable solutions Extend Workday's capabilities through Extend applications, calculated fields, and business process automation that reduce manual work and unlock operational efficiency Maintain key external platform connections — including Greenhouse, HireVue, and others — keeping Carta's HR tech ecosystem reliable and well-integrated

Requirements

8 years of general Workday Experience
4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations — Studio, Orchestrations, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, REST, and SOAP
Built and maintained complex integrations in production environments
Understand the Workday data model and business processes across multiple modules, including Core HCM, Payroll, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Security
Proficient in XML, XSLT, JSON, XSD, and SQL
Comfortable debugging integrations, managing API authentication, handling encryption and certificates (x509/PGP), and working within SFTP/data exchange frameworks
Worked in global environments and can navigate the complexity that comes with multi-region, multi-system data flows and compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience with Workday Extend
Working familiarity with agentic AI or LLMs (such as Claude)
