About The Position

The Workday Illuminate/Extend Lead leads the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of Workday solutions, focusing on AI-driven innovation, intelligent automation, and cross-functional enablement. This person serves as a trusted advisor and technical leader, advancing adoption of Workday capabilities including Extend, Studio, and Illuminate to deliver scalable solutions aligned with enterprise goals.

The role calls for leadership in Workday development and integrations, strategic understanding of Workday AI and automation capabilities, and the ability to translate emerging features into business value. The Lead collaborates across HR, IT, and business functions and guides teams in agile or iterative development environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of progressive Workday experience, with deep expertise in configuration, support, and solution design across multiple modules.
• Proven leadership in Workday Extend, Studio, EIBs, and custom integration development.
• Strategic understanding of Workday’s AI roadmap, intelligent agents, and automation capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts, agent builders, and low-code/no-code platforms, focused on scalable automation and intelligent workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including experience working across HR, IT, and business functions.
• Comfort leading teams in agile or iterative development environments, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stakeholder demos.
