While activities vary based on project size/scope and individual skill-sets and strengths, the Sr. Associate can expect to spend their time with a heavy focus on material client interaction through all projects, project management, intensive data-analysis and the identification for the “so-what’s” therein, and to creating compelling client-ready presentations. Additionally, the Sr. Associate will focus on developing Analysts and Coachees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or commensurate work experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in consulting, financial aid, higher education, and/or accounting
  • Previous experience implementing Student Information Systems like Workday, Banner, Peoplesoft Campus Solutions, or Oracle
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments

  • Functional Knowledge in Workday Financial Aid
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial aid systems and processes to institutional goals, improve reporting/analytics, and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Experienced understanding of higher education financial aid operations and related compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in academic structure, organizational assessment, and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional advanced Excel skills (including modeling and macros)
  • Expertise in the HR and/or Financials function, processes and best practices
  • Experience as a functional application specialist
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written - and the interpersonal skills needed quickly to establish relationships of trust and collaboration
  • The ability to establish credibility in the eyes of senior-level university executives on the basis of expertise, maturity, and professionalism
  • The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project-management and technical dimensions
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
  • A desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies
  • Travel when requested by client
