Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field, or equivalent progressive experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Workday PSA implementation and configuration of Contracts, Billing Schedule, Billing Transactions, or Invoicing modules
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition concepts (ASC 606) as they relate to project billing and WIP.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and own a process end-to-end, including troubleshooting and decision-making without a large supporting team
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort reconciling data across systems (Workday, Excel, reporting tools) to confirm accuracy
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders, including Project Managers

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain Workday PSA project contract lines, billing schedules, billing rules, and billing rate tables for new and existing projects, ensuring alignment with the underlying client agreement, fee structure, and project/WBS setup
  • Serve as the firm's subject-matter expert and hands-on administrator for contract-line configuration, including complex scenarios such as fixed-fee, time-and-materials, unit-rate, multi-phase, and blended billing arrangements
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize Workday PSA processes and configurations to enhance efficiency and user experience
  • Maintain data integrity across contract lines throughout the project lifecycle — amendments, fee changes, phase additions, rate changes, and project closeouts — and proactively identify and correct misconfigurations
  • Troubleshoot billing and revenue exceptions traceable to contract-line setup; perform root-cause analysis and remediate rather than working around the issue
  • Reconcile contract-line and billing-schedule data against billing transactions, revenue recognition output, and the general ledger to confirm configuration is producing correct financial results
  • Partner with Project Managers, Client Services/AR, and Practice Leaders to translate project and fee terms into correctly configured contract lines, catching structural issues before they cause billing errors
  • Support month-end and project-close activities related to billing schedules and contract accounting, coordinating on WIP, unbilled revenue, and billing timing questions that trace back to contract-line setup
  • Document contract-line setup standards and maintain a repeatable, well-controlled configuration process so the function is auditable and not dependent on undocumented knowledge
  • Participate in Workday PSA testing, enhancements, and periodic releases as they relate to Contracts, Billing Schedule, Billing Transactions, and Invoicing functionality
  • Train Project Managers and other stakeholders on how contract-line setup affects billing and serve as the point of escalation when billing issues are suspected to originate in system configuration

  • Generous 401(k) matching of 110% for the first 6% of eligible pay, vesting immediately
