About The Position

The Work Week Manager Level II is responsible for meeting with work organizations to resolve variances to scheduled activities and prioritize work based on equipment impact. This role coordinates and schedules activities to minimize plant risk, reduce out-of-service time for critical equipment, and ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness for the station. The position is accountable to Site Management as the single point of contact for all work during work management planning and implementation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 5 years experience (nuclear power plant preferred) with at least 4 years cumulative commercial industry (nuclear power plant preferred) experience in scheduling management, project management, operations, maintenance, project controls or engineering.
  • 2 years of cumulative experience must have been in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Full understanding of the INPO Work Control Process for on-line and/or outage work management (AP-913 and 928).
  • Intradepartmental communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledgeable of business practices and project management practices.
  • Candidate will be required to fill ERO and Third Hat position outside of daily activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or previous Senior/Reactor Operations License or PWR - Plant Management Certification (Desired not required).
  • Experience with PRA/Maximo/P6 or similar scheduling software a plus.
  • Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to some of the skills listed above.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the development and implementation of the scheduling process, including resolving schedule conflicts.
  • Provides schedule performance information to site management and develops plans for schedule implementation and updates.
  • Directs work week status meetings with maintenance, modifications, operations, and support organizations to implement the work schedule.
  • Ensures schedules for on-line work are developed in accordance with BVNPP requirements and standards.
  • Works closely with the on-duty Shift Manager to ensure the work week is executed as planned and emergent/short cycle work is implemented to support plant priorities.
  • Tracks and coordinates maintenance activities to minimize equipment/system out of service time and/or Technical Specification Action Conditions.
  • Coordinates and schedules activities per station procedures to minimize plant risk.
  • Interfaces with other work groups to identify and collect necessary information to support schedule quality.
  • Communicates the schedule with the station through Work Management meetings and/or other communication tools.
  • Directs the development and approves plan-of-the-day (POD) agenda material.
