About The Position

This role focuses on developing professional communication and ethical conduct, as well as foundational administrative and organizational skills. Students will learn to schedule appointments, maintain a compassionate and confidential demeanor, and understand the ethical principles of privacy and confidentiality in a mental health setting. They will also gain hands-on experience in administrative tasks such as preparing materials for workshops and events, organizing documents, setting up presentation spaces, and coordinating resources. This position is crucial for building trust and ensuring a positive experience for students seeking help, and will teach effective time management, task prioritization, and contribution to departmental events.

Requirements

  • Have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Adhere to College's confidentiality policy
  • Successfully pass background/drug screening
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new technology
