About The Position

The Work Order System Administrator serves as the administrator of the work order management system for CRMH. This role determines the functionality for the system and acts as an expert consultant on the work order control system. The administrator provides help desk support and serves as an internal consultant to staff and management, supporting management decisions through reports and simple analyses. This role also supports and implements upgrades to the work order system through testing, training, and providing help desk support. Additionally, the administrator assists staff by extracting historical data to develop standards and assess departmental efficiencies. The position receives work requests from hospital staff, initiates system work orders, assigns work orders and preventive work orders to departmental staff, dispatches work orders to appropriate staff, and coordinates quality control and follow-up procedures. The administrator acquires and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of work order systems, analyzes application needs, and develops/implements a plan to maximize application functionality, serving as an application resource to the Technology Services Group. This role uses SQL to query data from the work order system as necessary. The administrator maintains computer application files, reports, documentation, procedure/user manuals, and training materials, and participates in end-user training. They perform and/or develop required system maintenance, upgrades, and system training as coordinated with the Technology Services Workgroup, coordinating and overseeing system upgrades for work order systems and recommending system enhancements. The administrator maintains the work order system database and enterprise standards, coordinating inventory management data with the Materials Management department. They also perform administrative support for the department, including telephone communications, recordkeeping, processing and tracing of data, and maintenance of general office equipment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or 2 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 1 year of business, healthcare, and/or maintenance experience required.
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills required.
  • Must be self-initiated, organized and logic oriented.
  • Must be capable of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and/or data bases.
  • Ability to learn SQL database.
