Duke Energy is seeking to hire one individual for the role of Work Management Specialist, with the level (Senior or Level II) dependent on experience. The Work Management Specialist is responsible for providing technical, analytical, and work management support for Distribution, Customer Experience & Services. The incumbent uses independent judgment and initiative within established processes and standards to complete tasks, ensuring accurate and timely results that support safety, reliability, storm restorations, and cost management while providing excellent customer service. This position may also provide administrative support to multiple managers and is non-exempt. For the Senior level, this includes acting as a Technical trainer for Work Management Specialists I and II.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience (for Senior Work Management Specialist).
  • One (1) year of relevant experience (for Work Management Specialist II).
  • Possess all basic/required qualifications to be considered.

  • Advanced, fully competent knowledge of applications used in Distribution, Customer Experience and Services.
  • Exhibits flexibility and dependability during normal work schedule and after-hours emergency storm restoration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical, analytical and work management support for Distribution, Customer Experience & Services (Senior level).
  • Provide technical, analytical and work management support for Distribution, Customer Experience & Services (Level II).
  • Use independent judgment and initiative to complete assigned tasks within established processes and standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely work results supporting safety, reliability, storm restorations, and cost management.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide administrative support to multiple managers.
  • Act as Technical trainer for WMS I and II on all work (Senior level).
