About The Position

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is seeking a Site Supervisor to support, supervise, and train work crews of 5-10 individuals. This role involves creating an uplifting and safe work environment, providing on-the-job coaching, and empowering team members to build knowledge and skills. The ideal candidate enjoys a non-traditional workspace, being on their feet, and working outdoors. This position is crucial for helping participants with recent criminal convictions prepare for and secure employment, contributing to greater stability in their lives. Work hours are typically 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with work conducted outdoors in all weather conditions. Weekly overtime is expected.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Consistently lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.
  • Stand, kneel, bend, and climb in order to complete projects.
  • Work outdoors.
  • Walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Drive a 12 passenger van with an attached trailer.
  • Operate a smartphone.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to delegate, prioritize, and manage team’s time effectively.
  • Ability to operate under pressure with ease.
  • Ability to communicate and resolve conflicts effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds and experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support, supervise, and train work crews of 5-10 individuals.
  • Create an uplifting work environment that ensures team member safety.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching, encouraging and empowering team members.
  • Balance engagement and accountability across the crew.
  • Lead a work crew in public beautification projects: litter abatement, landscaping, and sometimes other projects.
  • Comply with company time and attendance (T&A) processes, ensuring participants accurately record work time, receive required breaks, and timely review/approve time records.
  • Ensure customers’ work orders are completed to a high standard daily.
  • Establish and maintain positive staff morale through modeling sound leadership and teamwork.
  • Assign job duties to crew members and set reasonable goals for completion.
  • Monitor crew members on job performance and productivity, providing feedback and/or additional training.
  • Maintain line of sight of all participants.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and reporting any matters that threaten the smooth operation of the training crew.
  • Complete necessary daily reporting tasks.
  • Perform special projects and related duties as assigned.
