The Work Control Clerk performs specialized clerical work in coordinating functions for dispatch and maintenance of USAF vehicles, AGE, BEAR Base, and other commodities managed by the Global Prepositioned Materiel Services Program (GPMS). This role involves planning and scheduling maintenance, tracking services and costs, and maintaining detailed work performance records. The clerk will manage maintenance information in both computer and manual systems, provide general clerical support to the Maintenance Department, and handle tasks such as filing, photocopying, and ordering parts and supplies. Additionally, the position requires developing and issuing computer reports, preparing summary reports of transportation and maintenance costs, and researching the availability and source of spare parts. The clerk will compile necessary information for purchasing maintenance materials, prepare purchase requisitions, coordinate approvals, maintain budgetary records, and follow up with relevant departments and vendors. Reviewing documents for accuracy and maintaining follow-up actions are also key responsibilities. The role includes maintaining all files and inventory records of orders, tracking delivery schedules, and keeping an up-to-date record of materials used to maintain minimum stock levels. The Work Control Clerk will also perform other duties as assigned.
