About The Position

The Work Based Learning Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of the School to Career/Work Based Learning program. This role involves facilitating meetings and activities to bring together employers, instructors, students, and center staff to ensure the success of the program. The coordinator also generates work site opportunities that match trainee capabilities with employer requirements and serves as a liaison between the Career Technical Training and Career Transition Services departments. Regular visits to work sites are required to cultivate relationships and coordinate guest speakers.

Requirements

• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or four years’ professional experience working with youth preferred.
• Two years’ experience in marketing, sales, or counseling related areas preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating the development and implementation of the School to Career/Work Based Learning program.
• Facilitating meetings and activities to bring together employers, instructors, students, and center staff.
• Generating work site opportunities that best match the training capabilities and needs of trainees with employers’ requirements.
• Serving as liaison with both the Career Technical Training and Career Transition Services departments.
• Visiting established work sites at least bi-monthly to cultivate work site relationships.
• Coordinating guest speakers in career training classrooms.
• Allowing vocational instructors to visit work sites and trainees as required for the success of the Work-Based Learning program.
