Plans and conducts a community relations program designed to create and maintain favorable public relations for the Center and its students and oversees the work-based learning program in accordance with DOL, PRH, corporate and Center requirements. This role involves planning, implementing, and marketing the work-based learning (WBL) program, developing and enforcing WBL policies that meet DOL requirements, and recruiting, enrolling, and monitoring students. The coordinator will also be involved in creating WBL handbooks, conducting student orientations, and providing training to instructors and supervisors on workforce trends and WBL procedures. Key responsibilities include monitoring work sites for quality training, coordinating communication of success stories with local businesses, promoting a home-based WBL program, and ensuring site safety and compliance with OSHA standards in collaboration with the Safety Officer. The role also requires ensuring all work positions are documented with site and specific agreements, completing necessary documentation such as Training Achievement Records and evaluations, updating student WBL hours in CIS, and coordinating student transportation. Additionally, the coordinator will assist in implementing the Career Success Standards program, work towards performance goals, follow the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct, maintain good housekeeping and safety practices, and comply with all relevant DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, QAP, Serrato policies, Job Corps notices, and Center policies. The position also involves demonstrating and abiding by Serrato Corporation's core values, modeling and mentoring Career Success Standards, helping students become more employable, and participating in PRH mandated staff training.
