WordPress Developer, iLawyer Marketing
About The Position
iLawyer Marketing, an EverService company, is a digital marketing agency serving law firms across the United States. The company helps clients generate leads and signed cases through SEO and AEO, paid search campaigns, and conversion-focused websites. The WordPress Developer will build custom, high-performing websites from Figma designs, following established development standards and using modern tools, including AI-assisted development. The role emphasizes understanding the code being written and delivering responsive, accessible, pixel-perfect websites. This is a hybrid position requiring work in the San Diego office two days per week.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional web development experience.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress.
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes and templates.
- Proficiency with CSS for advanced layouts without frameworks such as Bootstrap or Skeleton.
- Experience working with Figma and translating designs into code.
- Understanding of website performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
- Strong debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience with website hosting, staging environments, and deployments.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the Advanced Custom Fields Plugin and Gravity Forms Plugin.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Sass, Twig/Timber, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with modern build tools and third-party API integrations into various CRMs.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
- Understanding of DNS.
Responsibilities
- Develop custom WordPress website themes from design through launch.
- Translate Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect websites.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established development standards.
- Optimize websites for page speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
