The Rothschild, Wisconsin location is seeking a full-time permanent Wood Room & Wood Yard Production Supervisor. This role serves as a resource and team leader within the mill's wood processing areas, responsible for leading daily operations, managing personnel, and ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance to support pulp mill productions. The position reports directly to the Pulp Mill Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of woodroom/woodyard operations and papermaking processes
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant direct leadership experience
  • Strong computer, communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated success in promoting a safe work environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including rotating weekend coverage

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Pulp & Paper, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage both people and processes within the Woodroom and Woodyard operations
  • Coordinate daily production activities consistently meeting safety and production metrics
  • Partner with the Pulp Wood Procurement Manager on wood receiving and inventory management
  • Responsible for department performance to meet safety, quality, cost, and production metrics
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to improve reliability, productivity, and safety
  • Manage supplier relationships and oversee material flow
  • Provide oversight of rail services operations
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, environmental stewardship, and employee engagement
  • Train and develop employees in both technical and non-technical areas as needed
