About The Position

Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative Women's Lacrosse Head Coach. The coach will be responsible for instructing athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. This role involves ensuring proper safeguards for equipment and sites, instilling respect for school property, scheduling practices and competitions, and promoting professional growth through seminars and clinics. The coach will also maintain discipline, foster cooperation, and design clinics to promote the sport.

Requirements

• Able to instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for athletes to realize a degree of individual and team success
• High School diploma and/or related experience
• Ability to speak and write effectively
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a player is desired but not necessary
• Coaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites
• Perform duties which may be assigned by the Athletic Director
• Instill in each player a respect for equipment, and school property
• Schedule all practices, clinics, camps and competitions
• Continue to grow professionally by attending seminars and clinics
• Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation
• Implement and design clinics in order to promote the sport
