About The Position

The Women’s Lacrosse Graduate Assistant position is an opportunity for a graduate student to learn and develop leadership skills by assisting the head coach with all aspects of the program. The GA will gain valuable experience supporting the student-athletes through their academic and athletic experience. We use lacrosse as a tool to help students develop good academic and life habits. The GA is responsible for assisting in leadership and development of the current team through team building and character development programs.

Requirements

  • Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
  • Experience playing or coaching lacrosse, or athletic administrative experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in college athletics strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the head coach with day-to-day operations including recruiting.
  • Monitoring the student-athletes’ success and progress academically and athletically.
  • Organizing practice and game strategies.
  • Administrative duties.
  • Film breakdown.
  • Assisting with fundraising and community outreach programs.
  • Assisting the Head Coach in academic monitoring and the integration of academics into our sport.
  • Assisting in leadership and development of the current team through team building and character development programs.
