About The Position

This role is for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient OB/GYN clinic setting. The position is PRN with 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends, evenings, or call responsibilities. The practice is very fast-paced and busy, seeing approximately 18-25 patients per day with a mix of 15- and 30-minute appointments. The patient population is unique and diverse, with a strong combination of OB and GYN care. The practice environment is collaborative and busy, with a varied patient population.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Master's degree of Nursing required.

Nice To Haves

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians to expand individualized primary healthcare services.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations.
  • Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies and laboratory testing.
  • Provide preventive healthcare services, including health assessments and screenings, immunizations, and preventive counseling.
  • Provide ongoing patient care and health maintenance.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, including appropriate referrals to healthcare providers and community resources.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers regarding preventive health and wellness, treatment options, disease management, and available community resources.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and nursing processes in accordance with specialty-specific standards and network nursing policies.
