Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
WHASN (Women's Health Associates of Southern Nevada) is seeking a Full Time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join the team at WHASN - Southern Hills. They are seeking an experienced advanced practice provider that is passionate about women's health! This is an outpatient-only practice with no call, evening, or weekend hours. Work schedules of 4, 10-hour days or 5, 8-hour days are available. The scope of practice is 100% women's health, including performing patient exams, screenings, treatments, and recording patient health history; prescribing medications and therapies; ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing; providing pre and post-natal care, family planning services, and patient education; and assisting physicians. Experience seeing both obstetrical and gynecology patients is strongly preferred. A fully licensed medical team and support staff are already in place.
Requirements
- National Nurse Practitioner certification
- Unrestricted, active licensure in Nevada or ability to obtain
- Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
- CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
- Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
- Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
- Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
Nice To Haves
- Experience seeing both obstetrical and gynecology patients as a provider strongly preferred
- One year of full-time experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record patient health history
- Prescribe medications, therapies; order/perform and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures
- Provide pre and post-natal care, family planning services, and patient education and counseling
- Assist and work closely with physicians to provide patient care
