Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Appalachian Mountain Health (AMH) is seeking a motivated and independent women's health practitioner to provide full-scope services. AMH is a Federally Qualified Health Center in Western North Carolina, serving vulnerable patients across five primary clinics, supported by mobile and mini clinics. The role involves providing care regardless of a patient's ability to pay, working collaboratively with other providers to offer wraparound services including primary care, behavioral health, dentistry, pediatrics, and pharmacy. This position will serve as the women's health expert in the Leicester and Asheville clinics, ensuring access to high-quality obstetric and gynecologic services.
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant degree from an accredited institution
- Unencumbered North Carolina PA-C or NP license
- CPR certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Capacity to function independently
- High degree of initiative, judgement, discretion and decision making to achieve AMH’s mission.
Nice To Haves
- LARC management – demonstrated proficiency in placement and removal of all currently available IUD and implants
- Point of care ultrasound training
- Bilingual a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide full scope women's health services including gynecologic examinations, contraceptive counseling, LARC management, prenatal and postpartum care, menopause care, and STI screening and treatment.
- Work collaboratively with other providers to serve patients with wraparound care.
- Serve as the women's health expert in the Leicester and Asheville clinics.
- Ensure patients have access to high quality obstetric and gynecologic services.
