About The Position

Requirements

Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited program.
Certification as a Genetic Counselor (ABGC or equivalent).
Eligible for/holds MN state genetic counseling license
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support diverse patient populations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Compassionate approach with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

Experience in women's health, reproductive genetics, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive genetic assessments and counseling sessions for women regarding reproductive health, hereditary cancer syndromes, and other genetic conditions.
Interpret and explain genetic testing results, including risks, implications, and management options.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans based on genetic findings.
Educate patients about genetic conditions, testing procedures, and preventive strategies.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay current with advancements in genetics and women's health to provide evidence-based counseling.
