About The Position

The Women's Basketball Coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive, education-based basketball program that supports the academic and personal growth of student-athletes. The coach will emphasize skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and accountability while ensuring compliance with all school, district, and state athletic regulations.

Requirements

Previous basketball coaching or playing experience preferred
Knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and game strategies
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively mentor high school/early college student-athletes
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must meet all district and state coaching requirements

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and supervise all practices, games, and team activities
Develop and implement a comprehensive basketball program aligned with the school’s mission
Instruct student-athletes in fundamental and advanced basketball skills, tactics, and conditioning
Promote academic success and monitor eligibility of all players
Foster leadership, discipline, respect, and teamwork
Create a positive, safe, and inclusive team environment
Design and execute effective practice plans and seasonal schedules
Prepare the team for competition through scouting and game strategy
Supervise athletes during practices, competitions, and team travel
Adhere to all district, conference, and state athletic association policies
Maintain accurate records (rosters, statistics, equipment inventory, etc.)
Communicate regularly with administration, parents, and student-athletes
Manage equipment and uniform distribution/collection
Support fundraising efforts and promote the soccer program
Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development
