About The Position

Northeastern Junior College is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to fill the position of the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. This position supports the Women's Basketball program and the Athletic Department by mentoring student-athletes, emphasizing academic success, and fostering athletic and personal development in a competitive intercollegiate environment. The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach reports to the Head Women's Basketball Coach and Athletic Director and collaborates with faculty, staff, and other athletic programs.

Requirements

Associate's degree required
Collegiate Basketball playing or coaching experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Commitment to student-athlete development
Ability to obtain CDL
Three letters of recommendation, a reference list is not accepted

Responsibilities

Assist in the recruitment of eligible student-athletes in accordance with NJCAA rules
Support player development through skill instruction and implementation of team systems
Contribute to practice planning, scouting, and film breakdown
Upload and submit all game film and stats online following games
Assist with in-game coaching strategies
Monitor academic progress of student-athletes
Uphold team and NJCAA standards
Coordinate team travel
Assist with strength and conditioning coordination
Work with athletic training staff on injury management
Assist with fundraising and community engagement
Support game day operations
Promote the program through outreach and camps
Assisting the head coach with any other projects needed for the program
