About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The position supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by helping customers make buying decisions and offering relevant product recommendations and program information. The associate maintains product knowledge, supports merchandising and replenishment, keeps the work area clean and stocked, and follows company policies and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly and professional manner.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
Ability to occasionally use ladders, stairs, ramps, machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment, and work in confined or noisy environments.

Handle merchandise with care and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
Demonstrate products to customers.
Replenish and restock merchandise as required and according to merchandising guidelines.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signing.
Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Identify and evaluate customers’ needs, make product recommendations based on that analysis, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Perform other duties as assigned.
