This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of all food menu items. The Wok Cook will interact with fellow employees and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality. The position requires maintaining professional appearance standards, anticipating and accommodating guest needs, and handling allergy and/or dietary restrictions. The Wok Cook will accurately follow orders from the POS system or expeditor, maintain cleanliness and sanitation of their station, the kitchen, and the venue. They must possess in-depth knowledge of assigned recipes and execute them to company standards, as well as possess general knowledge of the venue. Compliance with Department of Health and company sanitation standards is essential. The role involves communicating product needs to chefs and support staff, checking cover counts, BEOs, and/or Fire Sheets. Proper station setup and execution of opening/closing procedures, including stocking, setting 'mise en place' following FIFO and company standards, wiping down and sanitizing the station, and performing opening/closing side-work are required. The Wok Cook must report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management, attend daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings. Learning by listening, observing, sharing knowledge, and leading by example are key. A positive and professional attitude is expected, along with demonstrating knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments. The role requires working as part of a team and providing help and support to all fellow team members.
