About The Position

The job goal is to provide instructional, behavioral, and emotional support to students placed in the Alternative Learning Environment (ALE) program. The aim is to improve academic achievement, behavior, attendance, and social skills, while helping students transition successfully back into the traditional classroom setting.

Requirements

  • Instructional, behavioral, and emotional support to students in ALE program
  • Improve academic achievement, behavior, attendance, and social skills
  • Assist students in transitioning back to traditional classroom setting
  • Provide instruction aligned with district curriculum and Arkansas Academic Standards
  • Develop and implement individualized academic and behavioral plans
  • Create a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment
  • Utilize behavior intervention strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic and behavioral records
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, parents, and support staff
  • Conduct parent/guardian conferences
  • Assist students in developing social, emotional, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records
  • Supervise students during assigned duties and transitions
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, state guidelines, and federal regulations
  • Prepare reports and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Conduct conferences with parents/guardians as needed
  • Assist students in developing social, emotional, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and information
  • Supervise students during assigned duties and transitions
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, state guidelines, and federal regulations related to ALE programs
  • Prepare reports and documentation required by the district and state
