About The Position

The WMN Grinder is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant or work site, and operating a plastic grinding system. The role processes scrap into regrind resin, tracks and labels materials, maintains grinders and the surrounding work area, and provides support with material handling and inventory as needed. The position requires following safety requirements and keeping production areas and equipment clean and orderly.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
Experience with multiple workstations, products, and materials.
Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift license to hold the position.
Complete all required WilbertU courses based on job title.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic math and reading skills.
Ability to learn quickly.
Ability to work well with others with minimal supervision.
Ability to successfully maneuver and operate a forklift truck.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience is preferred.
Knowledge of hand and power tools and related machines is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Organize and sort scrap parts by material type.
Hand-feed scrap parts into the grinder to create regrind resin.
Lock out and tag out the grinder and clean out regrind between colors and new materials.
Weigh and label regrind resin and maintain scrap and regrind tracking logs.
Clean filters and the work area daily.
Support scrap labeling and identification on the floor.
Collect scrap boxes from workstations as needed.
Fill in for Material Handlers as needed.
Support inventory counts as required.
Clean the work area, grinders, and related equipment.
Observe safety requirements and maintain a neat and orderly work area, including production areas, machines, and general areas.
