About The Position

Crossroads Turning Points is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a Withdrawal Management Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to make a difference by helping individuals facing substance misuse and mental health challenges build healthy lifestyles that support their long-term recovery. The dedicated team provides personalized care in an environment that fosters healing. Responsibilities include assisting with coordinating and monitoring patient activities and day-to-day operations of the Withdrawal Management unit during the assigned shift. The position is available for both full-time and part-time employment across 2nd and 3rd shifts. All applicants must undergo pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana testing), background checks, and a TB test.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Current certification as a Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) or the ability to obtain it within 18 months of the hire date is required.
Prior experience with substance misuse, providing direct patient care, assessment, triage, crisis intervention, and group counseling.
Solid communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
CPR and First-Aid certification (initial training and renewals paid for by the agency).
Must be able to take vital signs and recognize medical problems.

Nice To Haves

An associate's or bachelor's degree in human services or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with coordinating and monitoring patient activities and day-to-day operations of the Withdrawal Management unit during the assigned shift.
Take vital signs as needed (training will be provided).
Conduct intake screens and assess potential patients.
Obtain pertinent information regarding patient drug/alcohol use, medical, social history, and patient needs.
Provide the agency physician with information on medical issues, medication clearance, and monitor medications according to operating policy and the physician’s instructions.
Provide case management services to all patients enrolled in the withdrawal management program.
Conduct individual and group sessions.
Complete necessary paperwork.
Monitor patients throughout the shift.
Assist in medical/mental health treatment referrals and inform supervisor of all incidents beyond the scope of typical withdrawal management functions.
Verify the accuracy of monitoring reports.
