About The Position

The Wiring Associate is responsible for effectively using materials, equipment, and systems to assemble moderately complex products and electrical wiring. The role assembles wiring on medium to large parts or panels and completes final wiring and panel assembly for Switchboard units. The associate performs the full wiring assembly process for an assigned job, from a pre-arranged kit through completion, and is responsible for checking the quality of their own work. The position requires interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and schematics; assembling a wide range of part sizes; and using hand tools, air tools, measuring equipment, and a computer system to clock job start and finish times. The associate uses independent judgment to address drawing and bill-of-material discrepancies, troubleshoot assembly issues, and determine disposition of non-conforming products, seeking support from supervision or engineering when needed. The work takes place in an assembly-line environment in a manufacturing plant.
