About The Position

The Wire Harness Technician will be primarily responsible for assembling harnesses used on the spacecraft, in environmental testing, and for hardware development activities. They will uphold quality standards congruent with space applications. They will interface directly with harness manufacturing and design engineers in design document and work instruction review. They are also responsible for area organization, 5S implementation, maintaining production equipment, and documentation diligence inside of the manufacturing execution system.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of experience working hands-on as a technician in the aerospace, automotive, or similar industries
Proficiency in wire crimping and harness assembly
Familiarity with precision tools
Excellent attention to detail
Climbing ladders, long durations of standing, grasping, sitting, pulling, and physical bending movements
Must be able to lift 25lbs, unassisted
This role requires to work onsite
US Citizenship or Green Card

Nice To Haves

IPC620 working knowledge or certification
Experience reading technical drawings / schematics
Experience with testers (Cirris, Cable eye)
Experience in the aerospace industry
Advanced soldering skills
5S and cleanroom experience

Responsibilities

Read and digest the schematics, follow work instructions, execute all related tasks including cutting, stripping, crimping, routing
Execute 'connectorizations'; meaning adding harnesses to existing supplier provided hardware
Maintaining detailed documentation through our MES; specifically entering relevant data into work instruction steps, reporting non-conformances, be vocal about potential assembly improvements
Execute testing of harnesses (Cirris, DMM, cable eye)
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to support new manufacturing equipment bring up or process improvements
Uphold Safety and Quality standards
