This is an apprentice-level position where the individual will participate in test or project events as assigned by the Manager. The role involves performing moderately complex assembly and test functions in a manufacturing environment, utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, test equipment, and inspection measurement equipment. The apprentice will learn to perform and inspect wire terminations and wire harness assembly, produce and inspect assemblies conforming to customer specifications, and assemble/solder per customer and industry standards. They will also perform electrical checkout of manufactured wire harnesses, document compliance with assigned tasks, and establish/organize inventory of government, customer, and KIHOMAC property. Additionally, the apprentice will train and assist other technicians, build/assemble electrical components, modify equipment, maintain high ethical standards, observe safety rules, maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area, report status and results, maintain a clean work area, and work unsupervised at times. Other duties as assigned.
