About The Position

Precision Resource seeks an experienced WIRE EDM Technician to join our well-established Vernon Hills, Illinois manufacturing division. We're approximately 30 miles north of Chicago and 30 miles south of Kenosha, Wisconsin. We’re a small-medium sized division of our solid, privately held, global company that innovates and manufactures a high volume of metal parts for automotive, aerospace, hardware and other industries. Our proven quality and safety are driven through our ISO 14001, QMS and IATF registered processes.

Requirements

At least 2+ solid years of Wire EDM experience.
Machine programming ideal but not required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of English and Metric systems of measurement.
Knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection equipment and techniques.
Ability to make computer entries and read and follow written technical instructions.
Outstanding quality and attention to detail to achieve for high-precision requirements.
Must be able to work independently but also collaborate and communicate well with others.

Responsibilities

Set up and monitor Wire EDM machines for performance, making adjustments to maintain productivity and quality.
Perform routine checks and machine troubleshooting.
Inspect parts and adjust machine as needed to maintain quality standards.
Maintain required documentation.
Work collaboratively with Engineers and Tool Room.
Follow all safety and housekeeping requirements
