About The Position

Carvana is hiring a full-time, seasonal Winter Security Associate for its Safe & Secure team. The role protects associates, customers, and vehicles while helping keep the site safe and operational in changing weather. The position reports to the Safe & Secure Manager and combines gate security, vehicle and inventory tracking, safety support, emergency response, and winter operations. During severe winter weather, the associate may be the first person back on site to assess conditions and prepare the lot for operations. The facility operates 24/7, and gates must be manned at all times. The associate serves as a point of contact for associates, vendors, and visitors; monitors cameras and intrusion alerts; manages site access and vehicle movements; and conducts vehicle scans, safety audits, and location research. The position requires extensive walking and work outdoors in extreme cold, snow, ice, heat, and other conditions. Winter duties include plowing, shoveling, salting, brining, treating refreeze hazards, and providing extended support after storms. The associate may operate winter equipment, with training where applicable, and must follow required safety procedures and use protective equipment. The advertised pay range is $19.50 per hour. The posting also mentions a $1,000 bonus, a Winter Associate shift differential, and experience pay, with the latter two added to base wages. Carvana describes the role as a seasonal position with full benefits.
