About The Position

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Supervisor (40 hours/week) at our Cornerstone Wine, Spirits, and Beer (WSB) location in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Knowledge of alcohol products, including wine, spirits, and beer.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
  • Able to plan and organize your own work, supervise others, and delegate duties to others.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and collaborate with team members.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including working in a cooler, standing, pushing, pulling, using a ladder, and lifting up to 50lbs consistently.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain forklift certification.
  • Possess a flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Liquor industry and retail sales experience, particularly within the Co-operative Retailing System, is an asset.
  • Serve It Right Certification is an asset; however, training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members’ lives, with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns professionally and with a solution-focused approach.
  • Order, receive, and price merchandise, and complete opening and closing procedures as required.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and other devices to process sales and payments.
  • Train, coach, mentor, and supervise new and existing team members.
  • Maintain a clean and well-merchandised store by dusting displays, washing shelves and bottles, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and completing exterior cleaning as needed.
  • Follow policies and government regulations for age-restricted products, including wine, spirits, beer, tobacco, and fireworks.
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
