We are looking for an energetic, relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on connecting with people and turning memorable tastings into lifelong customers and wine club members. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys luxury hospitality, loves wine, is motivated by achieving sales goals and wants to grow their career with in one of Napa Valley’s premier wine companies.

Requirements

  • Proficient in CRM, Internet, Point of Sale
  • Prior tasting room, event, restaurant or other sales (hospitality focused) experience
  • Loves building relationships with guests
  • Is naturally confident asking for the sale.
  • Has a proven track record to meeting sales goals.
  • Enjoys educating people through storytelling.
  • Creates memorable luxury hospitality experiences.
  • Is energized by working in a fast-paced tasting room.
  • Works well independently while supporting the team.
  • Must be at least 21 years in age
  • Ability to lift up to 50lb
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide guests with a memorable and exceptional experience.
  • Educating guests about Rutherford Hill’s history, and describing wines and winemaking techniques
  • Developing and cultivating ongoing relationships with guests and wine club members to encourage repeat visits, referrals and future sales
  • Hosting an engaging tasting with exceptional customer service and hospitality as the foundation
  • Setting up and conducting general and private tours and tastings for trade partners, VIPs or club members
  • Drive wine, merchandise, and wine club sales by confidently recommending wines, asking for the sale and creating lasting relationships that result in repeat purchases and referrals.
  • Assist with daily business functions, including opening and closing procedures, wine and non-wine inventory, and restocking.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions through the point of sale system.
