About The Position

We are seeking a Mid-Level Windows Systems Administrator to join our team supporting a U.S. Navy customer in Patuxent River, MD. This position supports mission-critical classified environments by providing hands-on systems administration, network support, cybersecurity compliance, and end-user technical support. The ideal candidate has experience administering Windows-based enterprise environments, troubleshooting network infrastructure, supporting virtualization platforms, and maintaining cybersecurity compliance through patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening. This position requires a motivated professional who can work independently while collaborating with a government-led technical team in a fast-paced operational environment.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance (required prior to start).
  • 4–8 years of experience supporting enterprise Windows environments.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop and server hardware.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and security compliance.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in a classified government environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server and Windows workstation environments.
  • Provide Tier II/III technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, server, and peripheral hardware.
  • Perform system patching, backups, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Support VMware virtual infrastructure administration and troubleshooting.
  • Execute vulnerability remediation activities and maintain cybersecurity compliance.
  • Perform Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation and remediation.
  • Support ACAS vulnerability scanning efforts and assist with remediation of identified findings.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system procedures, and configuration records.
  • Assist with scripting and automation using PowerShell or Batch scripting to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support user account administration and privileged access in accordance with government policies.
  • Participate in incident response and system recovery efforts as required.
  • Coordinate with government personnel and technical teams to resolve system issues.
