About The Position

ISHPI is seeking an on-site Windows Systems Administrator to support Command and Control (C2) Afloat Integration Support (C2AIS) for the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, Virginia. The role manages C5ISC-supported systems and provides system, software, hardware, network, test, and electronic engineering services, as well as technical writing.

Requirements

• A baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or Network Engineering and at least six years of system administration experience; alternatively, a certificate from an accredited Community or Technical College in System Administration and eight years of system administration experience.
• Successful completion of additional training in one or more leading network operating systems, equipment, and protocols.
• U.S. citizenship.
• An active DoD government security clearance.
• Current DoD 8570/8170 IAT Level III certification, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CySA+, or CASP+/SecurityX.
• Additional specific information assurance certification requirements may apply.

Nice To Haves

• PKI experience or skills.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Strategy.
• RHEL/Windows OS Hardening.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain operating and systems software.
• Manage systems configuration.
• Monitor compliance with system standards.
• Evaluate software and/or hardware.
• Administer and maintain user accounts and profiles.
• Troubleshoot operating systems.
• May oversee and coordinate system administration activities across multiple systems.
