Peraton is seeking skilled and qualified candidates for a Windows System Administrator position within the DOL ITOM program. This role involves providing expertise in a multitenancy environment for services such as Active Directory, System Center Configuration Manager, and Virtualized Machines. The administrator will also collaborate with other system administrators, DBAs, and developers to resolve system issues. The position requires coaching and mentoring junior team members, creating reporting solutions, and working with engineering groups to deliver value to customers. Responsibilities include ensuring the security and management of Windows servers and desktops in both non-production and production environments, solving complex integration and technical problems, and escalating issues when necessary. The role also involves investigating root causes through problem management, creating and maintaining documentation, facilitating knowledge sharing, and planning the execution of releases. Additionally, the administrator will provide input into Business Continuity Planning and Practices, assist in major planned events like power downs and disaster recovery, and respond to critical escalations. The position requires developing and maintaining Windows platforms for servers, testing and certifying new Windows operating system versions, integrating server automation processes, implementing regular server status checks, and maintaining multi-site Windows environments. Management of server migrations is also a key responsibility.
